- Number of Melbourne staff more than doubles

- Company relocates to new Melbourne HQ
MELBOURNE, 16 December 2016 Revolution IT Pty Ltd, the specialist software testing company, is toasting a massive year of growth in 2016, that saw revenue hitting a high of nearly $40m, the establishment of crowdsourced testing company crowdsprint and the number of staff doubling to over 300, with a relocation to new La Trobe Street corporate headquarters in Melbourne’s CBD.
Commenting on the business’s growth, Revolution IT Director, Hamish Leighton said: “This is an incredibly exciting time for our business as demand for software testing continues to grow across all sectors of the economy. We were recently named as one of Australia’s fastest growing tech companies in CRN magazine’s 2016 Fast50 List and our staff have worked incredibly hard to achieve this success. I am delighted that we are in a position to reward them with a new state-of-the-art working environment.
“Attracting “tech talent” to our business is key to our success. Over the years we’ve already proven to be a great place for tech talent to work, and our new Melbourne residence will facilitate more collaborative and productive business practices, to help us deliver even higher levels of service excellence to our clients.”
The revenue and staff growth is a direct result of the success that Revolution IT has enjoyed this year, particularly within the Government, Financial Services, Retail and Utilities sectors. “It has been particularly gratifying to see Government departments and agencies replacing legacy systems with modern world class software that’ll enable them to improve service delivery and efficiency to Australians,” said Leighton.
“We also recently announced crowdsprint, formerly a Revolution IT company known as Crowdtest, that provides mobile, web and cloud-based app testing services to organisations across all industries through a global network of crowd testers on its platform. What’s exciting is that everyday non-technical users can join the platform alongside qualified software experts and earn money testing applications, websites and software,” said Leighton.
Revolution IT’s Melbourne headquarters has doubled its headcount in the past year and contributes to a total workforce within Australia that has increased to over 300 specialist software testing employees.
